Just a quick update on what I have been doing lately with my hair. It has grown so much and I look forward to more growth. My hair is very healthy. lately I have been wearing my hair flat-ironed, mainly because I haven't had time to do my twists. But I stumbled upon a hair regimen that makes my hair really shiny and last a little longer dispite my exercise routine. I co-wash with "As I Am" Co-wash, detangle my hair and then I deep condition with "BioFusions" Olive Oil deep conditioner. These two products are awesome on my hair. I usually keep the deep conditioner in my hair for atleast 20 mins sometimes longer depending on what I am doing during he time. After I rinse the deep conditioner out with luke warm water, (mostly cool) I take each section and put the "As I Am" leave in conditioner from ends to roots then I add a quarter sized amount of Olive Oil Stimulation Heat protectant serum to my ends up to my roots, figuring the product through my hair and adding additional product if I feel I need to. I take my "denem" type brush and brush my ends up to my roots making sure the product is fully applied to my hair. I do this for the four sections then after all product is in, I then blow dry each section using a blowdryer with the comb attachment.
After the blowdry section is over I use a rat tail come to part hair. I use the comb section to detangle hair again before using the flat iron. I place the comb at the root a section of hair and then leave enough room to place the flat iron behind the comp and I guide both the comb and the flat iron together down the section of hair. the come helps to separate the hair and give it a more straight and polished finish and the results are awesome. By girls are always trying to get me to do their hair because there hair comes out so much straighter when I do it.
I am working on getting my camera together to start doing tutorials, but I just haven't taken the time out to do it. There are so many projects that I want to do, but not enough time in the day...lol but I can try to know some things out the way. Thanks for reading this, if you have any questions, you can post them to this blog or send me a message as www.novica.olinger@facebook.com

I started my natural hair journey actually on accident. I was just simply frustrated with the way my hair was breaking off and thought I would just "take a break" from the relaxers for a while, so I started wearing half wigs and just braiding my hair, but never had a regimen or anything. I then realized that I had a significant amount of natural hair growth and was unsure if putting a relaxer in my hair was a good idea since the embarkation between the relaxed hair and new growth would be pretty weak and probably break anyways, so I just decided to check out You Tube and I hit the information highway!
I spent countless hours on YouTube trying to figure this situation out and get the courage to come out and just start wearing my real hair. I transitioned a little while, but couldn't take the two textures so I just chopped off all the relaxed ends and started the 2 strand twists...my go to style that has changed over the months. I love to see the length that I have retained since I committed to natural hair. I don't have a specific date of when I started transitioning but I know that in June 2010 I decided no more wigs and got the courage to begin the outing process of handling my two textures publicly. Well that did not go well so I quickly decided to to the big chop some time in July I think. So I guess it will be 3 years July 2013 that I became a nappy girl and I love my curls I don't miss the "creamy crack" and I won't go back!

Many people ask me what my go to style is and I would have to say mini twists hands down! I don't mind putting in 8 hours of twisting while watching a movie or 3 just to have a couple weeks of basically time free styling and best of all my hair is being protected and getting healthy each day it is not being chemically process or assaulted with flat irons. it has grown tremendously and my goal is bra strap length hair after that it can do what it wants..lol except for break off or fall out...lol not an option!
So I decided to try and compile all my 2 strand twist pics, I hope this works...lol
